Akin Hosts 2nd Annual Contractor Golf Tournament

Akin Building Centers Host Successful Contractor Golf Tournament in Atlantic

October 3, 2026

Akin Building Center’s second annual Contractor Golf Tournament was a hit! Although Mother Nature was uncooperative, providing three solid weeks of rain prior to the event which prevented play on the back nine of the course, it didn’t stop the fun at the beautiful Atlantic Golf and Country Club. The 2nd annual event brought together 18 teams of contractors, vendors and a few employees for a beautiful day on the course enjoying delicious food, tons of fun and even a little friendly competition!

Participants not only were treated to an 18-hole, best shot tournament complete with food, fun and prizes, they also generously helped raise over $600 to give to the Nishna Valley YMCA in support of youth sports programs in Atlantic.

The event will continue to be held annually so we may continue to support our hardworking contractors, loyal vendor partners, employees and our local communities. A truly heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined us and helped make this a superb event - we appreciate YOU!
