Akin Building Center Hosts Successful Contractor Golf Tournament in Clarinda

October 4, 2025 – Clarinda Country Club - Clarinda, Iowa

Akin Building Center’s first-ever Contractor Golf Tournament was a huge success! Held at the beautiful golf course in Clarinda, Iowa, the event brought together 11 contractor teams, Akin employees, vendors, and even some retired team members for a fantastic day of golf, food, and fun.

The tournament was more than just a great day on the green — it was an opportunity for contractors, suppliers, and Akin’s team members to connect outside the job site, share laughs, and build stronger relationships. With perfect fall weather and plenty of friendly competition, everyone enjoyed a relaxing and memorable day.

Following the tournament, participants gathered for a delicious meal, prizes, and a few well-earned stories about their best shots (and their not-so-best ones). The camaraderie and community spirit were exactly what Akin Building Center values most — bringing people together who help build Southwest Iowa’s homes, businesses, and future.

Akin Building Center plans to make this annual golf tournament a new tradition, moving the event to a different Southwest Iowa golf course each year. The goal is to continue celebrating our hardworking contractors, loyal vendors, and dedicated employees while supporting local communities across the region.
